The objective of the Dangerous Goods Training course is to provide the trainees with the theoretical and practical knowledge of all the applicable provisions in the Technical Instructions. The course is designed to meet the IATA Dangerous Goods Regulations.
The curriculum of this Dangerous goods Training is a 6 hrs initial and 1 hour 30 minutes recurrent module covering the following training elements:
NOTES: This program must be integrated in the operator’s Operation Manual (OM) and presented to the relevant regulatory Authority for approval. Training cycle Dangerous Goods Recurrent training must be undertaken at intervals not exceeding 2 years.
There are a number of versions of both the initial and recurrent DGR(NC) courses for different groups of people;
EASA: The Dangerous Goods Training contents are according to OPS 1 Subpart R 1.1220. Checking is according to OPS Subpart R 1.1220 (d).
For staff of operators authorised to carry Dangerous Goods
Group 9 - Passenger handling staff
Group 10 - Flight crew members and load planners
Group 11 - Crew members (other than flight crew)
Group 12 - Security staff who deal with the screening of passengers and their baggage and cargo
For staff of operators NOT authorisd to carry Dangerous Goods
Group 15 - Passenger handling staff
Group 16 - Flight crew members and load planners
Group 17 - Crew members (other than flight crew)
